About Pilates

 

 

Pilates is a form of exercise that was developed by Joseph Pilates. Pilates exercises emphasize the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness of the body in order to support efficient, graceful movement.

 

 Pilates works well for a wide range of people and exercises can be modified in order to ensure a safe yet challenging workout, regardless of fitness level or age.

 

Pilates can be beneficial for improving posture, coordination and balance. Pilates encourages improved flexibility and a stronger, leaner body.
